Millions of people every single day struggle with all areas of life.
They get out of bed every morning knowing that they need to do (blank) but just can’t get themselves to do it.
There is a painful gap for them between what they know they need to do and actually doing it.
Is it the lack of information that is out there? Def not.
There is more information out there than ever before.
All of a sudden everyone knows everything… there is nothing that is not a quick “google” search away…
Vs in the past… people had such little information, so they were very good at executing and taking action…
There has been one of the most profound “shifts” in the history of the world in the last 10 years
In the past, the problem was lack of knowledge
To learn anything you had to go see someone in a white coat with some fancy initials after their name…
In the new world, the problem is lack of action
People know what they need to do, they just can’t get themselves to do it.
This is where Remote Wellness comes in.
Bridging that gap between someone’s current situation and their desired situation.
Clients are paying premium for TRANSFORMATION through ACTION.
When someone sets off to “transform” or “improve” any area of their life they normally start off by focusing on WHAT they want.
Whether that be:
“I want to be skinnier and lose weight”
“I want to read a book”
“I want to run a marathon”
“I want to quit smoking”
This is what we call the “Having - Focus” - when you focus on outcomes / results you want.
This is where most in society end up stopping.
They never do anything more than that.
But a small minority of people go one step further.
The action takers, the ones who are serious, they ask the next question:
“What do I need to do in order for me to be able to get this change or improve?”
So then each of their wants and desires becomes an “action step” or a process to follow - what they need to do:
“I want to be skinner and lose weight” ➜ start a diet program
“I want to read a book” ➜ join a book club or start reading 10 pages a day
“I want to run a marathon” ➜ create a workout plan and start running few miles a day
“I want to quit smoking” ➜ throw away my cigarettes and don’t buy more
This is what we call the “Doing - Focus” - when you focus on the process and doing the actions which will get you what you want.
Sounds great right?
It’s what most people don’t even do… they take action, awesome!
This should work right?
And yet why do so many continue to struggle?
How is it that 2 people can go through the SAME situations and get completely different results?
How can 1 person become a millionaire and the other person get nothing and lives a life in the perpetual cycle of poverty?
The answer to this is: who you are BEING when you do the actions matter.
This is the missing ingredient, this is what nobody talks about.
This is why so many people in the “Doing - Focus” will lose weight and gain it back, or start to improve then go back to their bad habits, or people trying to quit smoking will start smoking again.
A lot of people start to stop their goals and their transformation because of this.
No one ever talks about who you need to BECOME in order to do the ACTIONS so you can have the OUTCOMES.
…and yet it’s THE MOST IMPORTANT.
Example of someone quitting Smoking (cite: Atomic Habits - James Clear)
Imagine there are 2 people who are offered a cigarette.
When the 1st person is offered, they say: “No thanks, I’m trying to quit”
When the 2nd person is offered, they say: “No thanks, I’m not a smoker”
What difference do you notice?
The 1st person’s response sounds reasonable… great, they are trying to quit smoking… no problem with that.
But here’s the problem…
The 1st person still believes that they are a smoker… who just happens to be “trying” something else.
But they still identify as a smoker.
Their BEING is that of a smoker.
This is clear in the way that they answered the question.
They are hoping their behavior will change while they continue to carry around the same identity and beliefs they’ve always had.
But the 2nd person, their response is something completely different.
When they say “I am not a smoker” it shows that there has been an identity shift.
A shift in their BEING.
Smoking was a part of their former life. A former version of themselves, not the current one.
They no longer identify as someone who smokes.
Do you see how big of a difference that is?
Which one do you think will be more successful in refusing the cigarette?
In the moment, when you are trying to take action,
You come up with a bunch of different reasons why you were not able to complete the action - things like “I was too busy today, I was too tired, I was too overwhelmed, that’s why I couldn’t do _______”
But the bottom line truth of why you could not DO the work is because at a deep level you do not identify yet with those actions.
As RWPs we focus on helping people in aligning their actions with who they are BEING.
We have found that BEING ➜ DOING ➜ HAVING - that is the proper progression in the Transformation Paradigm.
This creates a radically different outcome when it comes to transformation.
In the Transformation Paradigm, to make change effortless, you first start by asking yourself “Who am I being?” “Who am I consciously becoming”
When you focus on BEING first… the DOING because effortless.
When your actions come from a result of first being… everything falls into place.
Why?
Because someone who is “healthy” doesn’t need motivation to “eat healthy”
Someone who is hard working doesn’t need motivation to work.
The doing takes care of itself.
No “force myself” required. You just do it because it’s who you are.
And what else takes care of itself?
Answer: the outcomes & results.
The outcome is a natural byproduct because you become the person who does the actions and gets the outcomes.
This is the ultimate form of motivation: when a habit or action becomes a part of your identity.
That is why a big focus of Remote Wellness is helping people change their habits which becomes a part of their identity which then allows people to effortlessly:
Be healthier
Have more energy
Be more focused

Move more

Have better relationships
Create a better life
